Jesus noticed what everyone else ignored, will you? I'm Chris Moore and this is Leading Him where we look at the leadership of Jesus and how to follow it in real life. In Mark 12, Jesus is at the temple. He's watching people give their offerings. Some of the wealthier folks, they walk up, they drop in large sums of money, impressive public, noticeable, and then a widow walks up. There's no entourage, there's no ceremony. There's just two tiny coins together. They don't even add up to a penny. But Jesus sees it and he calls his disciples over. He says, this poor widow have cast more in than all they, which have cast into the treasury. Why? Because she gave everything she had. Not out of abundance, but out of sacrifice. Jesus doesn't just evaluate what's given. He sees how it's given. He values faith over flash sacrifice, over show intent, over image. As leaders, it's easy to be impressed by big numbers, loud voices, visible results. But Jesus teaches us to slow down and to look deeper. Who's giving quietly behind the scenes? Who's showing up when no one else notices? Who's sacrificing without applause? That's where real faith lives. Think about your team. There's probably someone who doesn't say much in meetings. They're not flashy. They don't ask for praise, but they stay late. They pick up the slack. They support others. They give their best even when no one is watching. Great leaders do not miss those people. They call them out not to embarrass, but to elevate them. Jesus was sitting in the same room as the big givers, but he drew attention to the one person. No one else noticed. And that's how he leads. The widow had every reason to hold back. She had so little. Her gift could have felt insignificant, but she gave anyway. That's the heart of a godly leader, giving when it's costly, showing up, when it's inconvenient, offering your best, when it seemed small and Jesus didn't just notice it. He honored it. He called it out to his disciples. We're reminded here that God doesn't measure like we do. He's not impressed by the size of our platform. He's looking at the posture of our heart, he is looking at your why and does your why pass the biblical test of the heart of God. So who are the overlooked widows in your organization or in your circle? Is there someone who's been faithful but unnoticed, someone who's given deeply, quietly, consistently? Take time this week to notice them. Encourage them maybe to elevate their influence and don't overlook your own small offerings. That quiet moment of mentoring, that sacrificial choice to serve that little thing that costs you a lot, jesus sees it and he says it counts more than you know. I know sometimes we get discouraged. We feel like we are doing and giving, and it goes unnoticed that it's maybe not even having the impact that we wish it could have, the impact that we want it to have. But in those little things, Jesus not only found value, but he found joy. So pick a person this week who serves behind the scenes. It may be in your business, it may be in your life, it may be in your household. It may be in your church. Write them a note. Send a voice message to them. Pull them aside and say, Hey, I see what you're doing and it matters. It matters to me. If this episode challenge you to see people that others might overlook. Share it with a fellow leader. Share it with someone you're mentoring and help them find the value in those little things and the people behind them. Remember, real influence isn't always loud. It's faithful, it's humble, it's sacrificial. Thanks for joining me on Lead Intent. Until next time, I want you to look deeper, lead with Godly Honor and give like it matters.'cause it does. I'll see you next time.
