What if your greatest leadership strength isn't your talent, but your consistency? This is leading 10, and I'm Chris Moore. We live in a culture that's always chasing the next big thing. New goals. New hacks. New trends. Faithfulness can feel a little underwhelming, but scripture reminds us that long-term impact isn't built in a quick burst. It's built over time. Let's talk about the power of consistency, of staying steady. One Corinthians chapter 15, verse 58 says, therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. For as much as you know that your labor is not in vain, in the Lord, Paul is saying, stay steady, keep showing up, keep doing the work even when it's hard, even when it feels unnoticed, even when progress is slow. So what does this say about us? Most of us are good at starting. We're full of energy when the idea is new, when we're starting something brand new, . But when things get tough or become a routine or boring, we get distracted. We want results without repetition. We want impact without discipline. We wanna live life like we're cooking in a microwave where everything happens instantaneously. The great leadership doesn't come from a few small moments. It comes from hundreds of small, faithful ones. You don't build trust with your team by being amazing ones. You build it by showing up with integrity day after day, by keeping your word, by staying steady when others would quit. By being the same person in private, that you are in public. Here's the truth. Your consistency builds credibility and credibility is what your leadership stands on. This verse also tells us something powerful about God. He sees and values steady obedience. Now, God doesn't overlook your daily efforts. The time you spend preparing when no one sees the energy you pour into leading well, even when you're tired and exhausted, the decisions you make to do what's right when taking a shortcut would be easier. Paul says, your labor is not in vain in the Lord. That means even when results feel slow. God is still keeping score. He honors your faithfulness and he works through leaders who are consistent. Even when the fruit isn't immediate. Just look at how God leads. He's unchanging, he's steady. He's faithful to his promises. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. And when we lead with consistency, we reflect his character. So how do we lead with consistency in a world that celebrates constantly changing? There's a couple of simple practices we can do. One, create those anchor habits daily or weekly habits that anchor you as a leader. Maybe it's a morning prayer planning time. This daily devotional, a weekly one-on-one with each team member, a check-in rhythm that keeps your team aligned. You don't have to have flashy routines, but what you need is repeatable ones. Consistency isn't about being perfect. It's about showing up on purpose's, time and time again, and people knowing what they can expect from you. Let your words and actions always match. Make sure that your words and your actions match. Uh. Every time nothing destroys trust, like unpredictability. If you're encouraging one day and you're explosive, the next, your team won't feel safe. They'll, they'll walk around you on eggshells, but when your team knows what to expect from you, they can relax and they can grow. Now, this doesn't mean you're not gonna have hard days. We all do. We will. It's going to happen. It just means you don't let your emotions always lead your leadership. And as we've discussed in some other of these devotions, when things happen, we need to be authentic. We need to show up, and we need to show people how we can stay true to our values and still deal with setbacks and let those values set the tone for what you do. Not your ever changing moods. We all have it, but we need to be intentional. One Corinthians 1558 reminds us to stay steadfast and unmoving knowing our work in the Lord is never wasted. Even when we feel like it is, we're often tempted to chase something new, some novelty, but leadership fruit comes from daily faithfulness, not from a single one time big event. God values that consistency because it reflects his nature and our credibility is built one steady step at a time, not in giant leaps. So what's our challenge? Pick one small habit that strengthens your leadership and commit to doing it every day this week. Maybe it's starting your day with scripture. Right. Hopefully this devotional series will help you do that and focus and, and maybe it's just sitting in silence a little bit. Maybe it's encouraging a team member daily. Maybe it's ending the day with a little time of reflection on what went well or what you could improve. Small steps repeated consistently. That's what creates massive impact over time. The world doesn't need more flashy leaders. We've seen a lot of those. They're everywhere. But what it does need is faithful ones. Men and women who show up when it's hard stay. When it gets boring, they lead with quiet strength. No one's around clapping or cheering. That's the kind of leader that you are becoming. Thanks for spending these 10 minutes with me on Lead in 10. If today's message encouraged you, would you send it to someone else who's trying to stay faithful in the middle of a slow daily grind? And if you want to dig deeper, I'd be happy to hear from you. Until next time, lead with grit, lead with grace, and remember, consistency doesn't get the most attention, but it often leaves the biggest legacy.
